Hello everyone,
I just asked Sami (mostly because I couldn't find the answer anywhere on the forum) but the use of .gif or anything animated in your forum signature is not allowed. Just thought everyone should know so that no one gets in trouble. :)
Cheers,
ICEcold
I have an animated .gif in my forum signature for a while now, no trouble until now. But what is the reason why it is not allowed?

After re-reading the Terms of Service, I noticed the following term and I will remove my animated airline logo. But again, what is the reason why it is not allowed?
QuoteForum profile and signatures. Each user is solely responsible of the content displayed in their user profile. This information must be accurate and truthful. Same guidelines apply to user profile as to normal forum posts. Forum signatures may not exceed 600x120 pixels in size and may not contain animated images.

I had read the term of service (

No Idea, all I know is that Uncle Sam(i) said no. :P

Don't want to bug Sami with PM's, but can I get an explanation why it is forbidden, since I don't see any harm in animated gif signatures? Something to do with bandwidth usage?
I think they are cheap looking and lower the tone of the forum. Bandwidth is not such an issue as the file size isn't very big (normal .gifs) and beyond that its a perfect tool to put an advert on!
