Title: Profit include fleet cost? 744
Post by: kamilogv on December 13, 2011, 07:21:04 PM
I have a question

- Final profit of the aircraft (1 image) include also ALL items of fleet commonality ( 2 image)?

- My only 744 is profitable?

No, I don't think the 1st image includes any of the costs in the 2nd image. So no, your only 744 is actually losing about 100k per week, plus the staff costs. If you had 9 other 744s, then that 744 would be profitable because of the reduced per plane cost of fleet commonality stuff.

If the 744 made $313k/ week profit, which if you look at daily profit its would be more presumably... anyway 313 x 4 weeks is 1252k/ month which is over the fleet costs. So profit before paying staff is 33k/month is the way I take it.

I would have got better numbers if I divided the monthly commonality costs by 4, and not done it as though there are 3 weeks in a month.  :-[

And yeah, it's just breaking even before staff costs.
