I don't see why the lease prices should be so much higher than Boeing or MD. I look at an A320 now and think, hmm, no better than a 757 now. Except for very late models 330/340/380, the rest should be in line with the other compnaies. Yes, its just an opinion, but one with merit I think. ;)

I think aircraft/lease prices are based on real life list prices (and are adjusted due to in game demand)... So just as in real life, Airbuses cost more but have lower operating costs.
By default, in-game, the prices are fairly similar. But demand causes them to rise. I can't speak for the game you're in right now, but in my experience the Airbus tends to sell slightly better, particularly in later years when its wide breadth of commonality (from the tiny A318 to the fairly large and long-range A321) really kicks in. So its pricing tends to run a bit higher. Quite a bit higher on the more expensive models like the A321.
Makes me wonder if the pricing model is based on overall demand for a fleet type or per-model. Because the A318 always seem way too overpriced to be a realistic option in many games (I know this is somewhat true in real-life too). It makes sense that it would be based on type rather than model though, as Airbus wouldn't want to build a super-cheap A318 in a production slot that it could build a premium-priced A321, it would rather charge a premium for both.

Not neccessarily so.

This makes more sense. Thank you. THIS answers the question.
