Title: VATSIM tips for a newbie
Post by: RushmoreAir on July 10, 2011, 01:23:29 AM
OK . . .

I just joined VATSIM as a pilot, and am looking for some Newbie tips.  I have observed communications with the _OBS, read through some of the Pilot Resource Center on vatsim.net

I'm not an actual pilot, but before VATSIM I have accumulated ~250 hours on FSX.  I am comfortable with pretty much every plane up through a King Air.

I'll take any and all advice.   ;D

A bit of general RT advice, but common mistake in VATSIM:

When an ATC tells you to stand by, don't say anything back. Just shut up and wait because that's what it means.
