Title: Flight scheduling in early morning
Post by: hybris on June 30, 2011, 05:46:18 PM
hi,
if an airport opens at 6.00 and I set a flight at the same time, it is possible the flight delays because there's no time to load passenger?

It is related to slot openings, not airport services. Delays must come from somewhere else.
Cheers,
Denis

There's always a probability of delay regardless of when you schedule it. Its always a bit lower if your plane sits all night long, but its still possible.

In the real world, you could have a first flight out delayed by inadequate crew rest...

I had a plane was arriving at 6.00 am, no delay, and the next departure at 8.00 (its turnraround was 70 minutes) - but it always was in delay... every day for tornaround reason.
so I asked...

Cheers

"Always in delay"  .. but how much. 1 minute? ;)

Since anything below 5-10 minutes isn't really a problem at all.
