Title: Bombardier Dash 8 Q400
Post by: iFlysimX on May 16, 2011, 08:49:52 PM
I see that on Wikipedia the Takeoff run at MTOW is 1,402M how come its at 1,470 on AWS?

Thanks!
Clement

Oh come on, nitpick much?

Wikipedia is not even always accurate.

This should probably go to the bugs forum...

Such difference is really not worth changing, in my mind.

It would make a HUGE impact because like where i am based at Key West the Runway is 1,463 so yes it would make a difference if it was changed to 1,402.....I would be able to use the Dash 8 Q400 :)

Thank You Sami,
Clement

and not only what clement said, its a simulation game its meant to be a realistic as possible...and surely its an easy fix?

You can still use it, it's only a difference of 7 meters.  The range with full load on the Q400 will just be like 10 nm less.

What about this....

Nominal range    1510 NM (range in this configuration - pax+bags, no cargo)

Runway requirement (MTOW)    1 470 m

So i can't use it because my Runway is only 1,463

No, the plane will be able to take off, but with less fuel, so you'll have a range of like 1500nm instead of 1510. Not the end of the world

Ok thanks i didn't know that! Yet its still something that i would think need to be fix.....I know that its too small of a fix but its inaccurate and Sami won't have time to fix it  :-\
