Title: Strategy
Post by: JIMBORICHARDSON on May 02, 2011, 08:01:57 PM
What's the best strategy to make lots of money, and how do I increase my LF?.
Im running a 757-200 and a ATR 42-500, going to glasgow, glasgow prestwick, edinburgh and belfast aldergrove.

First, ditch the ATR. :-)

High frequency on a route will help increase load factor, spend marking dollars to improve CI, which will also help loads...

We get so many of these kinds of questions on the forums, but there are really excellent guides like swiftus' newbie guide and Curse's FAQ. Please guys, learn to read those.. They're there for a reason.

I see you are in beginners world.  If it looks like you have reached a dead end, you can just declare bankruptcy and restart.  I think you have 2 or 3 chances to do it.  The point of the beginners world is to learn from your mistakes, try new strategies, before you jump into more competitive games.

As far as ATR, it is not a completely hopelsee aircraft.  It can be used profitably.  It is ok for short distances.

Yeh, i'm only operating inside the UK at the moment. I think declaring is the best option.. Need to stop wasting money on small aircraft :(

ATR-72 can be ok.   I would stay away from ATR-42.

I lol'ed.

Though, the McD's are much less likely to pop an impromptu sunroof.

I believe you'd get the MDs easier in the aircraft market? But it isn't really a problem with a little over 100 players.
