Title: loan payment failure at startup
Post by: flyboy842 on April 26, 2011, 02:57:03 AM
Hi,

I just started playing AWS and launched my airline... Ordered some used aircraft.. and before the planes have started flying, I get an sinister note from the bank that my loan has failed. I have a -$1,0021,000 loss and the loan requires $1,040.

Is this suppose to happen?  I thought through reading here that being in the red is OK when starting up. Should I have not ordered too many planes and be in the black?

How much should I have in the bank at all times?

Thanks in Advance

As long as you manage to get out of the negatives pretty soon, missing a loan payment or 2 isn't that big of a deal.

If you have any more questions in general about gameplay, feel free to PM me btw.

Even paying no loan for a year ain't big of a deal... as long as you don't get no BK-warning

Thats debatable

Sure it won't kill your airline but it will kill your credit ratin which means no new loans which would severely inhibit growth and hurt your airline

Even though you may get more suitable answer for your question via pm, I suggest using the forums so everyone else can benefit from your question as well  ;)

Well after 1 month of not being able to pay my loan, I am able to pay - and so far I have not been downgraded. As a startup airline (a newbie), I gathered that my CCC rating could not get any lower :) and it is still CCC rather than D.

Thanks everyone.. Will keep you updated if I cant get a loan when I am in positive financial shape because of bad credit history.

I had been on a D-rating when I wasn't able to access my airline for 2 weeks couple of years ago, and had millions of unscheduled planes with 3.000.000.000$ in the red. Back then I had a BK warning as well, and only one day after my return the bank closed me...

but as the example shows, it is pretty difficult do get D-rated...

I had a D rating for the last 2 game years in MT4.
