Yes, I would say this to be quite normal; a new world tends to fill up quite quickly (10-15 hrs) but during the first few days there are players dropping out.
How about Beginner World #12?
I can always have played on a beginners game. I had no idea a new world would fill up, and stay full, within a few hours of it stating. Like I said before waste of my time. I won't be staying around.

Sorry to see a player leave the game. There should be plenty of games opening up soon. Don't be discouraged. Sign up for the newsletter and join the game on the first day. Sami just can't open worlds every week. But, with growing support more servers can eventually happen.
When can we expect the first game with v1.3?

Well, with the way the used market has gone thus far, many airlines are running very diverse, shall we call them "nostalgic" fleets of old and varried aircraft. Mark my word, with the first big fuel spike, no fewer than 30-50 airlines will bankrupt. I am sitting back and patienly waiting for some expensive fuel to shake things up a bit ;D

and when that happens, there is often a very rich field of used a/c to choose from.
Some of the present worlds are ending soon so naturally new worlds are being planned. Details will be posted to the site news once confirmed.

Should be some spots opening up soon, join the early days as an interim measure. If you really want in to MT4, join at an off-peak time, where spots that open are less likely to be snapped up. Like at 11pm in USA and 5am Europe.

There have been a few bankruptcies already in MT4 (especially this weekend), so maybe now is the time to check more often than you're currently doing to see if a spot becomes available. I'm sure as fuel prices increase there will be more bankruptcies to come - so be persistant and hopefully it will pay off for you - there are still some airports with no airlines based at them that could be a potential goldmine too ;)

You're not missing much. Fuel prices and interest rates are going up and there is a 5+ year backlog of new aircraft orders for the most fuel efficient models (A320, B737). The only slots available at many of the largest airports with dense routes are in the 23-05 hours through the night (you can count the open slots at EGLL on one hand). The used aircraft market is finally starting to stabilize and there are finally planes with 150+ seats available.
Fuel prices are starting to spike, which means those with a poor fleet strategy will start bankrupting and there will be plenty of space to join in the next week or two :) It is interesting to note that most of the largest airlines in the game are not opening secondary bases...at least not yet.

Bases are very expensive for (very) big airlines and only generate money if you have lots of international long-range flights with big aircraft or many short flights (3+ per aircraft).
By the way, there are slots for the Early Days Test Scenario. A small and funny game ;)
