Title: Paying back loan early
Post by: brakke on February 28, 2011, 04:25:47 PM
Hu all,

Just wanted to known what your opinion is on this:

If you stil paying back a loan to a bank for a couple of years, but you have enough money to pay it back, would you pay your loan back in once so you don't have an active loan anymore?

I asked this question earlier myself.  And I have found that the best advice, at least while still in an expansion
phase, is that paying a loan back early is not worth the trouble.  For instance...I have two 32 mil loans that cost
a combined $200k per week.  But the airplanes I bought with that money...well they bring in ten times that amount
in profit....just one airplane per week pays for the loan with $300k to spare, or more.

So, I'd say don't worry about it unless you are in a spot where you don't need more airplanes/routes.

It is of course true that loan payments are not a problem considering the economics of the game. However, when you pay one loan back early you are able to get a new loan for a higher amount speeding your expansion even further.
