Title: Going on holiday
Post by: thechopper on December 08, 2008, 04:21:59 PM
Apparently, if I did not log into the game for 2 weeks, my airline would go bankrupt.  So how would it cope if I went on holiday for two weeks and was therefore unable to play the game?

I set my account to always stay logged in.
I think that will help.

I doubt it will.
I have that setting on, too, and still when this computer is shut down, I can log in from another computer without any warnings of 'double-logging-ins', and when I'm again back on this computer, it logs me in automatically.
So, the option to always stay logged in only applies when your computer is on and on this site. It only does that you don't have to type your account name and password every time you come to this site.

First of all two weeks is a heck of a long time in the 'game world'. Being absent for that long will cause problems (although in some cases if all is OK keeping the automated staff+maintenance etc on may work). But the idea is NOT to be away for 2+ weeks and that's why there is no designated 'holiday mode' either. On the other hand a single login within the two weeks will clear the limit again.

The 'always logged' option is only that the system remembers you and you don't have to login manually every time by entering the password.

I was on holiday over 3 weeks, I used internet cafe or played at my hotel room about 30-60 min per week. That was suitable for holiday.

Would it be possible to apoint a sitter?
Like someone else, playing another airline, or would that be counted as multiaccounting?
Could be mandatory to notify sami about it for example to avoid something like that?
