I noticed that there had been some attempts to register false accounts to the system for the sole purpose of sending spam to this forum. However as this forum is not the standard SMF installation all these attempts failed and as the regular users have seen there hasn't been any abnormal activity here. These spam attempts are regular problems at forums these days but taking some extra measures will solve the problems easily.
Although nothing has happened, preventive security is important. And thus there are some changes made to the registration process. First of all the IP address of user trying to register is checked up from a live database that holds most of these hackers/spammers. And also to prevent automated bots from registering the previous image verification has been replaced with a more human-proof system where the system asks you a series of simple questions and you need to type in the answer. For example a question could be "how much is 60+40" and you need to type in the answer (100).
So for a regular user all what you see is that the 'captcha' box where you have to type in the letters from the box has changed to three other questions. Newsletter registration is not affected by the change.
This all is just as general information... If you are trying to register to the website and are having problems with this, then please use the contact form (https://www.airwaysim.com/Contactus/) to send us an email (please describe the problem/error closely).
