Depending on which game world I play, I mostly use the following regional a/c;

Prop:
Fokker F27 -> Fokker 50 -> ATR42/72 or Bombardier Q400
Jet:
Fokker F28 -> Fokker 70 -> Embraer E170
     N/A    -> Fokker 100 -> Embraer E190

I would say Saab 2000 and Dash 8 Q400

BAe-146/Avro RJ, An 26, An 148/158, HS748

Those are all little-used types that are quite successful

You jest but I had a fleet of them flying domestically in Japan with a config of 800 odd seats and they made me a bomb.

In seriousness the HS748 is a great little thing in the older games, I swore by it in the JA before the current one.

I did regret not having the Fokker 500's a bit the other day, but they cannot do C-Class pax... I also found the HS 748 (that can carry C-Class) has been easier to order.  That siad, its C-Checks hurt a bit more.  Not sure if after 3-4 years I'm going to keep my Supers and take advantage of lower leases, or look to swap to ATPs or something else

NAMC YS-11's are great overlooked airplanes.

I agree... some people don't like the range.  If you change the HD seats to standard, you get a ton more range out of them.

Also agree - I started off with some YS-11s, because they weren't such a hot commodity on the used market. They've since been replaced with ATPs in my fleet 8)

I can vouch for the AN 148/58. I have a fleet of about 50 of them over in MT3 and they are performing quite well. Cheap to purchase or lease and quick to deliver!

Don

sometimes its the overlooked aircraft that are the best. There's more to the aviation industry than Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier and Embraer
