The following lists the world's top 20 busiest routes based on total number of seats per month flown in both directions as at July 2010 and a list based on approximate flight numbers on certain routes (combined for both directions) as of January 2010.

That's amazing simulation.

Interesting how the traffic lights up as morning comes for the particular parts of the world. Trans Atlantic traffic is also interesting to watch.

Why are Hawaiian inter-island routes shown on the map, but not in the list?

I thought HNL-OGG was one of the busiest in the country.

True, there seems to be 21 routes on the map.
