How much time do you have to come up with final payment when new aircraft is delivered ?
You have to pay immediately on delivery.
If there's a healthy used market, you may be able to save some quid by buying out leases of planes that you already have that are coming up for renewal....
I'm in the beginner's world and the used market really sucks.
You have to be looking at the right time when a decent used plane shows up
and snap it up quick before someone else does.
That's why new has become my best option.
But buying up my best used aircraft when the lease is due sounds like a good idea.
The used market is a "problem" in every game world :) So it is a good idea to think about strategys and alternative aircraft.
Searched both manual & forum, and this thread seems closest to my question. Paying staff, paying for slots, making loan payments all seem able to be done even if you don't have enough cash on hand, you'll just have a temporary overdraft. I'm wondering if that applies to new plane delivery fees. I have ~9 million to pay for a new plane in 1 week game time. Affording it isn't a problem, as I'm making a healthy profit. But I may only have ~8 million cash on hand when the plane arrives. If that happens, do I just have a 1 million overdraft for a day or two, or does my order get cancelled and cost me the 6 million already paid, or what?
