Title: Classic British Airliners
Post by: raptorva on August 08, 2010, 04:55:48 AM
Greetings,

Last night I finished making this video showcasing some classic British jetliners.
Those of you in the JA games may recognize some of the types.

It took me a while to adjust to the new Youtube layout too.
Going to try and make some videos of this sort for other countries and time periods too if I can find the video footage (its very hard).
As a side note, I look forward to the day when the Comet is in AWS as it is my all-time favorite jetliner (beating even Concorde).

Excellent, thanks for this -- not only were the clips fantastic, I hadn't played/heard that Oldfield piece for about 20 years: I'll have to dig out the album.
One question: where did you source the clips?

yeah, his music now is almost forgotten which I think is a shame.
The videos I gathered from random promotional material I have downloaded over the years and a few (such as the ones of the BAC 1-11) I could only get by searching for other videos which included the aircraft on youtube already. Surprisingly, the BAC is a rare bird when it comes to video...even rarer than the Vanguard at the beginning of the video

Wow, I think I saw all the planes that I operated in my last faithful airline in JA2

Hawker Tridents

BAC-111's

Fokker F-28's
