...that I'm playing it on my mobile phone! :) And it works fine, a bit slow with GPRS/EDGE but VERY playable with HSPDA or WLAN connection. Few "screenshots":

Phone has a web browser that uses the phone's GPRS/EDGE/HSPDA connection, whichever is available.

It is the last 1/4 of 2007 :o
Think about it. Whether or not it's Winter or Summer, Spring or Fall, it's Q4 of 2007. ;D

Can't put it to beta yet as it's not ready for that... ;)
And to share a bit more on that (I think I already posted this somewhere..): the status is still pre-beta. Beta will begin when I feel that all the necessary features of the initial release have been built in and no major changes are needed anymore. Currently there are still them, for example a bigger update package will come around next week which requires a full reset of the running games (more news on this later once it's out .. several new things will be there). Also some of the management pages in game itself are still too poor.
Don't wish to release a product that is incomplete. Though more features will be added after the initial release most certainly but the base core must be fully done with all the necessary management features. But I believe that already by now on what we have AWS is the best airlinesim one around. Though that's just my opinion, you all can be the judges of that later on.
For the thing that interests you I think .. WHEN?!? Well, cannot tell yet. Target is a bit forward, early 2008 for the full release. Which means beta will have to begin few months before that ;) Beta is naturally free if you were wondering - but by invitation only (for approx. 200-400 players). Beta testers (like all other contributors) will also get free game credits for the final release games then (how much, don't know yet, but at least the ones who have contributed actively in prebeta stage are getting unlimited game access).

And what do I have to do to get that invitation? Having played some of the competitors, this game looks very promising.
iltaa .. ;) At least if you're subscribed to the AWS newsletter (see frontpage, left corner). And if there are not enough guys, then random selection (fastest are the winners) from the forums, or by some other means (will see about that later when time for that arrives).
So the first 300 people who joined the newsletter get to test the game in the beta?

I don't have the dates when each one subscribed so most likely not that way. We'll have to see how we do it, though not a thing very near yet, still some base development to be done.
small script which selects 300 emails and invites them for the open beta. An easy and fair way i think. But You probably have enough sleepless nights left to think this over ;)
Works via TV also ;D (with Nintendo Wii ... just had to test with my new toy .. and sorry for the crappy picture)

Stop harassing the people that can't play it. maybe you should let another 3-5 people play it every 2-3 weeks until the game is done. ;)
BTW, It could work on a Nintendo DS lite. I have the web browser, but no access to the game to prove it to you. :thmbdn:
Wii's browser is basically Opera so not really a surprise that it works. :)

Safari. Works 100% I think.
I don't have an iPhone to test but I'll see if I can test it with iPod Touch...same browser and UI.

AWS currently has (too many?) flash thingies here and there. Some mobile browsers support it, some don't.
You should let some of the really persistant people who want to get, actually allowed to play!!! Thing about all that time they spend here!!!! (like me and some other people in this forum) ;D
