Title: HUB EXPANSION
Post by: malefusion on July 03, 2010, 10:49:14 AM
Hey there,

The time to create a HUB is approaching and I was looking for some guidance as to how this works...

Anyone able to help out and tell me what the rules and procedures are???

Thanks

I suspect you've probably already discovered by now, but you can open a new hub once your airline is over 18 months and has more than 15 aircraft.  The price to open up a new hub depends on the size of your new hub and later on, how many hubs you currently have open.  You can base up to 70 aircraft at your hubs, but it must have 3 based there as a minimum otherwise it will be automatically shut down.

As well as your HQ, you can have up to 3 hubs in your country. The only excepetion to this is the EU, which has a Single Aviaiton Market (SAM) post-1997 and you can open up hubs anywhere in the SAM.

There are some more detailed explanations in the manual, but I think that covers the basics :)
