Title: "In Storage"?
Post by: Frogiton on June 08, 2010, 02:49:48 AM
When you go to the "Global Statistics" section under the "Aircraft" Tab, there is a section that says "For Sale & In Storage". What does the "In Storage" part mean? The "for sale" and "in storage" parts can't be related because currently in ATB there are two A330-300's under the "For Sale & In Storage" section, yet there are no A330's for sale in the UM.  ???

Those are aircraft that "the system" has at it's disposal to release to the used market - if and when it (or Sami) see's fit.  Basically every aircraft in the game world has to be accounted for - either "in service", "for sale", "scrapped" or "in storage".

when an airline goes bust does all their aircraft go into storage straight away to prevent a huge backlog going into the used market, and then filtered into the used market at a later date?

Yes, precisely.
