Hi folks.
Please help out IT-expert like me, whose knowledge ends with powerpoint... I would like to know if it is possible to format posts/thread in a different way, than the availabe options. E.g. I would like to do a numerical list (1., 2., 3., ...) or the like. It would already be helpful to know perhaps which 'format' or whatever that is called is, so I can google around a little. Thanks.
Denis
Hmm, is the question so unqualied and exposing my technology affiliation or does simply nobody know...
Denis
Really didn't quite understand what you're after ... But the forum format cannot be changed that much, check the Profile tab from forum menu bar, and there's a bunch of selections under there (look/layout options).
Yeah I know that. I wanted to make a list:
But I would like to put numbers in front of them, instead of dashes. And I would like a space line between the listing points... It's not html, so I guess a customized one?

Believe it is called forum BB-code, very similar to HTML but with different brackets for the code.
Haven't see that kind of forum mod around. But they are usually easy to install, if found.
I am currently writing this 'tactical and strategic guide' for aws. And need to numerate the things somehow. I will see and find a solution. Thx.
Denis
I believe that guide could be put to Manual as there it would be better formatted and viewable.. If that's ok.. but let's talk of that in pm later.
You've guys never used forums before??? This stuff has been around for the past dozen years or so...

all the bbc's for smf. Somethings such as move are disabled here.
Anyhoo smf doesn't support numbering, you can however use pre and preformat it your self in note pad then copy and paste it here....
phpBB i believe supports numbers.
LOL, you will be dissapointed, when I tell you that I had been 'working' as forum admin for 5 years... I simply never needed those things... And it was even the same forum engine as here... ::)
But thx a lot for the link, that will make it easier for me... I really appreciate that!
