Title: Unfair competition
Post by: ChangYai on April 19, 2010, 09:49:33 AM
Hi

I'm sure I read in the rules that large airlines deliberately putting over capacity on a route flown by a small airline is not allowed.

Where would I report something like this?

Regards
Chang

Before reporting anything first please make sure that there actually is a potential rule violation: https://www.airwaysim.com/game/Manual/General/Rules/

Hi

Yeap, the airline concerned has very recently added 200% of the demand, i already had 100% of demand, so the second flight he added breaks the rules.

How do i contact the administration?

Regards
Chang

This happens all the time. I was the number 1 carrier on DFW-ORD for YEARS. Now somebody :-) has dumped a ton of capacity on the route for no good reason.

Remember, the rule is that EACH player can have ~150% of demand.

So just because you've got 150% of demand doesn't mean someone can't dump more seats on it.  They can dump just as many as you have.  And someone else can come and dump just as many, and so on and so forth.

Though if I understood Chang correctly, the other guy dumped 200% of demand on top of him, which is exactly he amount he'd be allowed to.

Right but, they cant dump more then 200%, in my case the competitor has dump well over 200% and nothing has happened to him.

No one's sitting around looking for these things.  If you feel it's a problem you've got to report it to the administration.
