I'm new, and I'm having some difficulty, so I have a few general questions.
I have two routes being flown by one plane, and both routes have demand for the flights, but I can't seem to get ANY passengers. Not one. I keep lowering the price, but still nothing. I have marketing campaigns working for both routes, and for my company in general. Am I doing something wrong?
Also, is there a way to see how much other carriers flying the same route are charging? I can't seem to find out.
What kind of prices you use, and how's the flight time (dep/arr time)? And how many times a week you fly to each destination? What type of aircraft (their age, condtion etc..). And your company image?
I finally picked up some customers. Each route goes every day of the week. Company image is 11.92. I fly a leased Antonov AN-24, 21 yrs old, 79% condition, which has delays occasionally but has never had flights canceled.

I would suggest to try some other equipment than 20+ year old Russian turboprop. Perhaps not the most convincing plane to fly from customer's point of view ;)

Why even include them in the game if you can't A) make money, B) gain customer confidence in the aircraft?
You can make money with them and sometimes they are a clever alternative, but in most cases not. So why not include them? :)

Maybe it is to make the crowd o hate those Russian planes. Honestly, people in this game don't like Russians. You can read from tones of thread in the forum.

I think that is the case with some of the posters on here, but not everyone, but I can see why you'd think that with some of the posts that appear :) There are a fair few threads about attempting to improve the passenger data for the Soviet Union/Russia e.g. https://www.airwaysim.com/forum/index.php/topic,20094.0.html from those that aren't still stuck in the cold war.
As for the aircraft, they get bashed so much because 95% of them aren't worth the hassle if you want to compete. They can provide a cheap and readily available way to get capacity on routes, but their long term viability is less than favourable.
Of course not everyone is anti-Soviet here. But, overall the scenario make people sense a strong discrimination to the Soviet. Not only about their planes (in fact Russian aircraft are a really a little behind Boeing and Airbus), but everything related to Soviets seems to be 'bad'.
