Title: Assymetric Pssenger Damand
Post by: Rex_Kramer on April 15, 2010, 04:40:46 PM
A couple of the routes I'm flying seem to have strangely assymetric passienger demand - the demand is much larger (by around 30%) on the outbound leg than on the return.

This seems abit odd and I doubt there are any real world routes where this is the case. Is this an intentional feature or a bug / problem with the data.

Seems to be getting worse now.

On JNB-FCO route planning shows average demand of 520 passengers per day but on FCO-JNB it's only 180/day.

Is this right ?

Some is expected and is supposed to be that way.  Others are indeed bugs.  If it's at least a 200% difference between routes, it can be reported and sami can decide if he's going to fix it or not.
