Title: Scheduling newly ordered aircraft?

I ordered two new planes from Boeing and MD directly and it won't let me schedule them to the routes I want? It also wont let me give it a tail number or it wont even show up on my scheduling screen? Do you have to wait until the aircraft is delivered  to schedule it and name it?
