Title: Seating Configuration question
Post by: aleksthegreat on March 14, 2010, 04:39:53 AM
When you add a seating configuration does it replace the entire default configuration or is it added to the default configuration?
If you just want to increase the amount and enhance the comfort/luxury level of the business class and or first class, for instance, would that be added to the existing economy class or are you also responsible to add the configuration offered for economy class?

I've noticed when you modify all three offered classes, it lowers the default maximum seating capacity? So before I make any hasty and costly choices, I'd like to understand a little better.

When you configure the seats, based on what's offered, your responsible for how the entire seating configuration will be? Or is it an add on to the existing default seating settings?

When you add a configuration you have to name it.  Only planes that you have specifically changed to that configuration will be at that configuration.  So nothing changes in your fleet until you go into your Aircraft page, select the aircraft you want to change, and then upgrade that particular aircraft.

As such you can have as many different configurations for a model that you want.  You can have every single plane you have slightly different if that's what you wanted.

When you create a configuration, you have to do it for EVERY seat.  So if you want to include Business class, and you don't select how many Coach you want, the system won't automatically assume the rest are Coach.  You'll simply have a very empty plane.

thank you. So you are responsible to customize the entire plane. How come they offer much less seating in comparison to the default seating arrangement?
So if you wan't more luxury seats, look for larger planes models?   :)

I got it.... The more luxury or room you want (full recline or private, VIP box seats) the more actual room they take up on a plane, hence the shorter amount of seats available for that plane model ... So, I do have to upgrade to a larger plane to compensate for that compromise.... THANKS AGAIN   :o
