Title: Credit refund?
Post by: fauzi on March 10, 2010, 03:56:34 PM
Hey guys. I just joined a game world, which I regretted and would like to pull out of the game world. Is it possible if I can get my credits back? Not real money, but just the credits.

Once you buy an apple from a grocery store and take a bite from the apple can you return it and ask for your money back?

Working in retail once upon a time, yes people come back with half eaten apples to return. If you don't take it back as a return they'll call corporate. Then you'll yelled at by corporate, forced to return the apple and give the customer a $30 gift card.

But that's beside the point...

I think credit start fees should be prorated(as in if the game is halfway done you only pay half start credits), with an all sales is final return policy

Hello,

Once you join the world you cannot get the joining fee Credits back. There is a feature planned that would allow a larger 'preview' of the world before joining which I believe would help players in making their mind.

(if there was some other reason than just change of mind, please contact me in private)

Apologies to step in on the debate, however under the Sales of Goods Act 1979 in the UK, if a consumer makes a purchase and just changes their mind, they are NOT entitled to a refund. That would be down to the individual retailer. Unless there is something faulty with the product or the service was unsatisfactory (or not as described), then the consumer can start demanding their rights.

Of course that just applies to the UK regulations, and beleive me when I was 16 on the Argos payroll that is all we quoted!
