Title: Does this make sense?
Post by: cashacasha on March 08, 2010, 01:43:43 AM
I     have     22     734's that I lease. Does it make sense to lease an extra 734 just to cover C checks and keep thoses routes making money?  :P  Is there a better way?

Sure it makes sense, if you have an awful lot of time and are checking your airline 24/7.

Otherwise, just don't worry about it.

Since you can't possibly always ensure that 23rd plane is operating all the time, it actually makes more sense to just book it on some other routes.  At least that way it's always operating and making you money.

In other words, covering C-Checks is a waste of your time.

Ya but if your plane goes into C check the route isnt being flown for 2 weeks. And if you are a cheapo and skimp on maintenance and get caught you can get fined. So your basicly telling me to just build my routes and let my planes fly eh? Hmmm

It doesn't matter if your route isn't being flown for 2 weeks or not.  Just don't worry about it.
