Title: Dutch aircraft Fokker 100 to be build again

It's with great excitement to tell you all that - if all goes well - the Fokker 100 is to be re-produced again. A few years ago a Dutch company called Rekkof started negotiations with Stork and during the process both parties agreed a co-operative partnership in constructing the Fokker100 aircraft. As a large number of the current F100 AC's reach a certain age airliners will slowly look for alternatives.

The plan is to introduce the XF100 which would technically be a F100 but with todays aviation standards. Rekkof has to sell 40 of the new type to reach the break even point, which is a verry low figure compared to other aircraft developments. A smaller version (XF70) has not been ruled out.

The maiden voyage of the new Fokker100 is sheduled for 2015.

Funds have become available when VLM Airways was taken over by KLM.
Cades Digitech is prepared to invest 300 million USD for a production line although Rekkof is still in negotiations with my local airport Amsterdam Lelystad (EHLE)

I thought the project was cancelled after KLM ordered Embraer E-Jets for KLM Cityhopper. Didn't hear anything about them for a long period. Hope to see new Fokkers in the sky :)

EDIT: Yes, the Fokker 100 will be restarted by NG Aircraft (formerly known as Rekkof)
