Title: Changing Route Demand
Post by: albinobedbug on February 26, 2010, 04:33:02 AM
Hi all,

Quick question about route demands, im sure someone has probably asked this before too. During the game does a route demand change really? For example say an airport doesn't have enough demand so nobody wants it and leaves it be, well after a couple months go by does the demand stay the same or can it start building up slowly until someone swoops in?  I.E. an arpt with 60 PAX demand and after a couple months or even years it could rise to 100 or more demand.

If not it would be a cool feature to maybe add later.

Thanks all

It goes up or down every year depending on the economic climate.  It's normally only a couple percent a year but can change more in exceptional cases (after 9/11 for example).  Additionally, routes that are provided with large quantities of cheap seats will gain route demand faster than those that aren't served or are served at higher prices.  We're not talking huge differences, you're not gonna make a route go from 50/day to 100/day, but there's a difference.
