Title: Routes with a lot of demand one way but not the other
Post by: coopdogyo on February 19, 2010, 01:52:13 AM
I have noticed that some routes have a ton of demand one way but not the other. Take VIDP to KLAX in Dawn of the Millennium, there is about 900 pax a day to KLAX but 200 pax a day back to VIDP. Why is this?

I thought there was some reason for it like immigration. Sami could you move this topic or do I have to repost it?

Known issue with a bug report already open, no need to move/repost these.

I have that problem as well, especially with flights from more developed ("1st world") cities to MNL having lower yields and lower demand.  This is costing me as much as $30K for my MNL-DTW-MNL route.  The return leg only gives me less than $20K as at last check.

Yields and demand though from MNL to 1st world cities though looks pretty alright.
