While coding for v.1.2 changes I am having the option of implementing changeable corporate tax levels quite easily. In other words corporate tax levels could have history and change over time.
For example (numbers made up): in 1950 tax level for UK could have been 30%, and in 1975 it became 29% and in 2005 it was set to 25%....
If you have such data available, or care to dig that up from the net, please post them here. The system does already include global data from year 2008/2009 on this, and I'm mainly interested on the past data.
Simple instructions:
* Make sure you look for corporate income tax %.
* There may be variations in countries that only some profits are taxed or small corporations are excepted but we can only accept one solid value for all companies - choose the most relevant (for large companies).
* Post them in format as a reply to this topic, one per line:
yyyy-mm-dd, Country Name, new Tax %
Example:
1981-10-01, Sweden, 25%
Thanks.
2007-01-01, Netherlands, 25,50%
this is a truly awesome idea which get the simulation even closer to reality.
It would be awesome if it could be possible (with some constraints) to still be able to change the country where taxes are paid during the game.
implementing country-related labour costs it would take the game to another level (and the complexity)!
I have briefly taken a look around, but I'll try to find more data. it seems like the bellow OECD website covers the topic with a nice DB but I havent found historical data

I will look more into it tonight

Already modeled too.
Anyway, the best option is to be based in the UAE... Income taxes fees: 0%! :)
There also large discrepancies between companies in the US based on what state they are operating in...
