Title: Marketing as a function of PAX demand
Post by: auerbacs on February 17, 2010, 04:13:06 AM
Sami,

I just noticed that the one thing keeping me from having fun with the Piper Navajo's and such, now that small pilots are cheaper, is the fact that it would make marketing ridiculously expensive to have such small routes. So, have you considered having the CI marketing cost based upon total PAX demand (or PAX supply of your airline) on all routes instead of just the number of routes. With that little change, which seems simple (of course, i don't know the program ???), people could have a lot of fun with a lot of pipers and and islanders, which would be sweet. There's probably a good reason why this isn't already the case... go ahead, tell me... I'll try not to cry :'(

Thanks,
Auerbacs

Same goes for the number of ground staff required. It just isn't profitable to operate an airline with Cesna's due to the number of staff required which is based on the number of planes you have. If it would be based to the number of seats you can sell it would make life for the small man a lot easyer.
