Is it possible to buy a leased planed, that i lease direct from a manufacturer?
Thanks
Stefan
I believe it is, but it means the current contract is terminated which might cost you a fortune.
you have to pay the Residual plus the remaining payments.
The Residual is the value of the plane after the lease....
I just dont understand how TERMINATING a lease costs you 1/2 of the remaining payments but buying it costs you all plus the plane's value. Why not terminate then buy if you could?

I never quite understood that myself. If I terminate, then it costs me half the contract but if I buy the aircraft, I pay the full amount plus the residual? If anything, I would think I would pay the same half as if I were terminating, then the residual....
Don't bother. Buy a new one from the Manufacturer and terminate the lease :)
