Title: Upgrading aircrafts
Post by: munipandita on January 25, 2010, 02:25:02 PM
Hi. I made a search but i didn't find anything.

I want to know if it's possible to upgrade our aircraft.

I'll use the example of the Fokker 100.

There is one version with a 1440NM range, but with another engine the range goes to 1660NM.

So, is that possible to buy a new engine to the aircraft? Make upgrades to increase range and/or capacity?

If you act quickly, there's some available now. Just been a large airline collapse.

Yeah, i know.. i just got my baby hehe

But, if there wasn't? I think airlines can modernize their fleet, upgrade their airplanes without buying a new one.. Upgrade engines, put winglets, change the painting (less painting, less weight.. ), etc.

Congatulations!

Agreed, struggeling with finding aircraft with the right engines. I'll save up some dosh and buy a new plane, if I can get it before all the slots are filled up which looks more likely.
