Hi all,
Lelystad Airport EHLE(part of Schiphol group) is allowed to grow in 2010 to become Amsterdams second Airport. The current runway will be extended (2100 meter) and a new passenger terminal will be build allowing up to 1,5 million pax a year. All narrow body AC can use the airport like Fokker 50/70/100, Airbus A319/321 family and Boeing 737 family.
That will be a little over 4.100 pax a day from my local airport in future.
Business profile for international flights:
Low cost airlines ONLY currently flying at EHAM
Low cost airlines ONLY currently NOT flying at Amsterdam.
Lelystad Airport is managed and operated by Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
Ofcourse it would be great to implement EHLE in AWS. ;)
How is this all going? I presume Ryanair would think about starting services?
Transport links from Lelystad are good ie train station is not to far from the airpoirt so could be linked by bus.
