Title: Time of Day and LF
Post by: Thedoo79 on December 24, 2009, 03:20:53 PM
Does time of day of departure affect load factors? I've noticed my early morning departures have significantly lower LF than later in the day. Does proximity to "airport opening" have an impact?

Yes, a quite large difference. Try the regular rush hours .. 06-09, 15-19 or so. Avoid 24-05 (or use lower prices).

In my case, not really.  I see a 90%+ LF in my "red-eye" flights.

It depends. Does your flight take off before 2300 local and land after 0500 local? In this case you are avoiding the "bad" hours.

Well, my flight leaves at 00.15 and arrives at 05.10.
