When you get to a certain size, there seems to be a limit on the amount of loans you can get. I believe it's something around $475 million
Is this true and if so, why?
Probably so that the big don't keep on getting impossibly huge, something which is already a problem in this game since profit margins are so outrageously high and the fact that certain players know how to "game the game" to maximize their growth.
Not that it makes that much difference anyway, they'll still get there eventually. But it does serve to inhibit the, literally, exponential growth of some airlines. The explosive growth is limited to the first few game-years and, after that, they're reliant on their cashflow alone.
You're about the limit? I think it' strange because I see people buying A388 20 at a time and they manage to BUY them instead of lease them... :-OOO

I see that in real life. It's not strange? 8)
I think it's strange... I still dunno wether they buy them using spare cash or financing them with debit! :) Anyway, usually the unsecured financing is about 125% the amount of your available cash. But I have not calculated the secured loan availabilty yet...
