Title: Route Overcrowded Strategy?
Post by: ponmania on December 13, 2009, 04:45:42 PM
I read a topic about double leg and overcrowded route in a forum a few week ago but now I can't find it.
I wonder about Route Overcrowded Strategy. Is there any conclusion?
Will this strategy be ban or moderated in new game version?
I'm boring of Route Overcrowded Strategy by mega airlines. Sometime it double pax demand by only one airline.
I think an airlines should not supply more than the smaller number of either 110% of a route pax demand or pax demand + 100 exceed seats. In the real world, Its not gonna happen even route total seat supply of 150-200% of total pax demand.

* Also any coordinated "attacks" by alliances, or by a similar group of airlines, to prevent some airline from operating or to deliberately push some airline out of the simulation are not allowed. Competition is generally free in the sim but any clearly unfair competition measures such as flying routes with huge overcapacity and with very low prices and deliberately targeting many/all routes of a single airline are considered unfair competition, especially if the "target" is a new / small airline. Actions in such cases are decided case-by-case by the administration but in most cases no action is required as the difference between fair and unfair competition is not clear. But in case there are clear violations the users are urged to report these via PM.

* In case you see any of these violations please report them to the administration, with full details.

As a general rule, the demands shown are all ESTIMATES - don't stick to them too much .. But supplying 200% of the demand is still not seat dumping in that sense but anything over that (by a single airline) may need investigation - IF reported to us.
