Why do you need to pay when returning a leased plane?
Shouldn't the lessor be happy if you return the plane before to him?
Thank-you
You have to pay because you are terminating a contract before its normal due date. ie. a penalty.
No, because the lessor is expecting payment from you every month from the start of the contract to the end of the contract. If you terminate the lease 6 months before the contract, he would be missing out on 6 payments from you. Therefore, you have to pay a penalty to make up for the payments the lessor misses out on.
