Hello,

Can anybody give me a ballpark indication as to when we might be able to start placing orders for the A318?

Sometime between March of '98 and March of '00.

Certification will be between May of 2002 and May of 2004.

Thanks, that is good information.

If I have existing orders for 319's that are not yet within 6 months of delivery, and I changed some of them to 318's, would that push the delivery of those units out to the production/delivery dates of 318?

You can't change an existing order to a model that comes out afterwards, only models that existed at the time that your order was placed.
