Hi,
I've just joined the demo game but found out it'll end in a few days (real time), so I don't think I may see a proper result in the game just in time, so I want to put my question here.
I have a current schedule for one of my 727-200 Adv:
CYYZ - KLAX 0700-0850
KLAX - PHNL 0940-1315
PHNL - KLAX 1400-2135
KLAX - CYYZ 2225-0615*
Days: 12-4567
... flight number 301/302
CYYZ - KLAX 1200-1350
KLAX - CYYZ 1505-2255
Days: --3----
... flight number 303/304
I schedule my A checks on Wed 0700~1200. I know this schedule is a bit tight, and quite susceptible to delays, but it keeps the a/c in the air for most of the day. Now my question is:
I cannot fly this schedule when the A checks are being done. To avoid losing one full day of revenue, I'm trying to fill the hole by flying between YYZ - LAX only, but then I have to create another schedule which is only valid on Wed (with different dep time's as well). I'm wondering if the revenue for Wed can outweigh the associated increased costs? Thanks for any inputs.
Why don't you put the A check to 00-05 instead so you can fly the route 7x week?
During 00-05, the plane is the on the way from KLAX - CYYZ. Maybe what I said was a bit confusing, I'll put it this way then. I'm trying to use the 301/302 schedule mainly, but since it lasts for a full 24 hrs (including turnaround's). On the day of A checks, I cannot fly this schedule, so I use the 303/304 schedule as a replacement on those days only (I don't want my plane to sit on the ground for 19 hours ... excluding the A check). But my concern is if this would actually make more money or no.
I'd say continue to fly the 303/304... beats the aircraft sitting around on the ground for a whole day
Thanks, NorgeFly.
oh yes, I missed that.. But best to keep it airborne as much as possible.
Thanks, Sami. Earlier on, I was just wondering if the extra costs still make my plan financially feasible to carry out, but since you said that, I know what to do now. Thanks again.
