Title: single 747 profitable??

has anyone made a profit running 1 747 on it's own??

what i mean by this is.. as a small airline i cannot afford to go out and lease multiple 747s but to start leasing 1 with a view to get more.

but in the mean time i don't want to run into the ground financially starting with 1 747.

i guess if i have doubts i'll leave this idea until i have enough cash in the bank so if it goes wrong i can afford to off hire it.

It is possible. I did it twice and they made a profit. But a single 747-400 will cost you 2,5 million a month plus 1,5 million additional costs. But I had a 1,8 million profit per week. So... It can be done.
