As, again, the worlds are filling up ... There is a need for 4th game world..
How about Jet Age #3? Similar to the previous worlds ...
Why not an earlier game, say 1950s-1960s and forward? Medium difficulty and whole world.
Is real long game?
Excellent, I'm in. Playing with Connies sounds good too.

I'd like that!
unfortunately very early worlds are not quite doable as it would need the feature where pax demand can transfer between days .. As the overall air traffic is so small that flying to most destinations 7x week is not economical.
Too bad. I would really like to try flying old props and have to do a fuelstop on Iceland to get from LHR to JFK and so on. :/
As early as possible then is my vote :)
I had meant I was in for a new Jet Age game. The older game was a secondary thought. So lets get some yes votes and move the process along.
I would play a new Jet Age game. (And probably drop out of NAC :P)
If the skill level wouldn't be too high, I'd also like to participate in this guys  .
and I don't think It is too bad, to start a little earlier, maybe not in the 50s, but in the middle of the 60s would of been great...
by the way, nice idea to start a new world ;)
cu on Jet Age #3 xD :D :D ;)

Please, can we get some "official" reaction to that long game suggestion? Thank you very much :)

what do you mean with official???
real suggestions, such as these?? ;)
Starting Time: 1st Jan '65
Going till: 31st DEC '09/variable date
Position: Whole world
A/C: All
Starting money: ~4-5Mio$
Skill level: Easy/medium
Fuel pricing: Realistic (or lower)
Passenger numbers: Realistic (or higher)
see what you can make from this..... :)

It would be perfect if we could have:
ATB3
and
JA3 or EuroChallenge
"Behind the wall" A cold war scenario in the USSR / Asia with russian stuff only. ;)
Jona: I meant Sami's reply to previous suggestions about long game (cca 1970 - 2015).
I'm in for a game like that (1970 - 2015). It would obviously cost like 15 - 20 credits for it as it is equivelent to 2 games, or a faster game time which may keep it at 15 credits at the lowest
I would pay up to 20 for it. But mostly, I would like to know sami's opinion about this game..

The problem with long game is that people would get really really strong and it would be extremely hard to play it later on. The only possibility I see for a long game is something like NAC, because the difficulty can kill you at any time, therefore there is always possibility for new people to join and the market will clean itself ;)
If you have good strategy, you can beat really strong airline in some months/years also if you start in the middle of the game. I think this could work, only problem (is it problem?) is that it would be hard..
Russian game is also good idea :) That would be fun and challenge in one :) I'm into it!
What about an ATB3?
i'm in for any kind of game, i'm just desperate to play a game :P
Long game, 15min per day and ~1970 - 2015

I like that idea. Maybe have random fuel prices too...
I'm in that.... :)
15min. is also a good idea :D
I will draw up the more exact plans in the next few days.
Jet Age #3 with historical fuel price......a 5 years of extreme condition will be fun to play with ;)
I can't wait to try it again
Hi, this is my first post to the forum.
When this new game world would start? Because at the moment there is no game world available that is suitable for beginners.
I dont think it would be wise to join the north american challenge for first game because it seems too hard.
Airwaysim seems so cool game that i want just to get playing it ;D and its very frustrating to wait for next game.
I wasn't lucky enough to fit in the Beginners world :(
Hello,
From Sami's post, its looks like it could in a week or so. It'll be worth the wait though. There's always a 24 hour period at the start of each game when it runs in real-time i.e. 1min game time = 1min, so you'll have time to get set up whenever it starts.
Dave
Oh god. I done very well in JA#2 but very boring as I am 13 and had never heard of a Caravelle?!?
Another ATB would be perfect!! Or it would be ammmaazzziiinnggg to have an all Japan game limited to like 20 member's cost alot more but very competitive!!
Um...Caravelle?? Also being 13...in 7 days...I have no idea what that is...but thanks to my friend "google toolbar" I can finally find out what it is. I can't believe people took in my suggestion with "paying more credits" or the "faster game time"...normally being a kid..no body takes in my ideas...
I suck with all of the games...the beginner's world is going slightly well...where as the ATB2..hmm...I'd rather not say....
I am so impatient, this is so fanatstic that its increadibly addicting!!!
So, any plans or annoncements?
I´m desperate to start Jet age 3 ;D
Maybe Sami will start the new games in 3 days, when th last of the jet ages will end.
I just hope that my Maldivian Airports are included in the next round!!!
It says in the 'next few days' on the front page ;D
In Jet Age#1 I didn't do too bad, even joining in (game time) 1990...16 years later...I was doing pretty good, so I'd say yes to one of those ones, but a long game is good also...I need to start begging for money now!!
Maybe two new worlds -Jet Age 3 and a long Travel Boom (1989-2009)??? And maybe not 400 people in each? Did anyone every get an answer to games that are longer but cost more?

I also like Russian game idea, but... is there any way how to operate Russian aircrafts and DO NOT bankrupt? :D
whahah they are pretty thirsty yes, but fuel is pretty cheap ;D

They are ok, if there is no or only similar competition. In fact TU-154s and IL-62 worked well for me in the early Jet Age, before fuel price went trough the roof. I got lots of new aircraft from the production lines while my competition was struggling to get some lonely 20 years old planes from the used market.
A few days have passed, Jet Age 2 is ending soon,
The new games should be close!!! I can't wait!
I hope my Maldivian airports are included.
..starts tonight.

maybe how many players etc...?

I'm planning for a world similar to previous Jet Age worlds.
Unfortunately it is not a "long" world what has been requested as that would need some changes to the payment plans and those will be made / announced later.

Sounds good. Whole world, I hope. Could the timeframe be slightly earlier or slightly later than Jet Age?
yes, whole world and small adjustments to time..
Ouch, tomorrow's evening I'm going for a 5 days to Austria and I will not have internet.. well, internet coffee twice a day.. no problem :D
whaha, have fun in austria :)
Thanks :)
Question for sami - tonight means before midnight of after? I just don't know if I have to go sleep soon and set alarm to 4AM or have to wait. Thanks :D
was hopeing for an ATB...
But anyway, always better than nothing!
i would prefer another ATB :(
oh well

same (:
Same, Ive just got back from cyprus and bought lots off credit and then found out i cant get in to any games :-[
Are you all serious with the ATB thing? Where is the challenge in flying aircraft that are fuel efficient and can fly to almost anywhere in the world non-stop?
I prefer ATB as I wasn't around yet during the age of JA, so, I am not that interested in it.
The fun thing with ATB is that you are building an airline in what is close to "today's world" so It is more interesting from my point of view. Also, I was born in 1995 and the game ends around these years in which we are know so it is interesting for me to run an airline im my first years of life.
same here, I would really like the ATB scenario. just voicing my opinion thou, its not like i have a say here.
ATB! ATB! ATB! :D

The Jet Age is full of different and varied aircraft giving it a completely different feel. Whilst I enjoy ATB more (I think this is mainly down to the easier scenario setting) suddenly all those aircraft that look old and knackered in ATB, become new and modern. You should give it a try. I'm only 25 (only he says!) and I never experienced the sight of Caravelles and DC-6s etc.
hey, i dont care what the game is as long as i play the game for crying out loud!
Does anyone have an idea of what time it will start, other than 'tonight'?

I find the airline industry fascinating regardless the era and, if anything, an earlier scenario makes things more interesting and challenging. To me, airline travel before the 1980s was something glamorous and romantic, something that we have completely lost today with the low cost carriers. To each their own, I suppose. I find it somewhat surprising that so many players will not have anything but a modern scenario. I hope sami makes note of this to maximize his revenue but will also cater to the old people like me in my early 30s.

what you say is true and i would want to give it a try one day, just, that I was planning an airline for ATB in these slot of games so, I would prefer ATB. The best thing would be if Sami did both!!
This would free more slots, and maybe new people to the game would find somewhere to play therefore enlarging the AWS community!!!

I've been playing since January in 4 different worlds/scenarios and about 15 different airlines. I'm 30th in Jet Age#2, so I thought I'd be fine in NAC, but it requires far too much time and micro-management.
Anyway, you'll enjoy JA. I didn't think I would when I started the last 2 Jet Ages
And...there's a free spot in ATB now :) Its just gone down to 399 players

yes, but the point is I really wanted to enter ATB as I would like to do an airline in ATB.

we could add another one... 8)
What Time Is It Going To Open At Tonight?
JetAge it'll be still ... ;) And believe me, I've never seen a flying Caravelle either but it's still nice to use those good'ol iron in your airline ...
For the schedule, please sit tight for a few hours still, I gotta check the airports first before I will kick off the world. And there is again the 24hr first turn so there is absolutely no need to be the first airline to join.
pretty please, can you add an ATB for the "ATB community"
Please!!! :) :)
edit: Is there going to be just 1 game added? a few weeks ago there were hints that 2 games would be added. To satisfy everybody, we could add a JA and a ATB. :) :) ::)
I agree...open up another ATB or A Euro Challenge as the other games are full. But please :(don't have 400 people in each
Yeah, Euro Challenge would be great!
I am hot for another Jet Age or Air Travel Boom. Should I go to sleep tonight Sami or will you be able to open registration within the next few hours?

I have a similar dilemma - should I stay up for much longer or just have a look tomorrow? I'm in work at 0400 :(

so, no chances left for a ATB?
