Hello,
I am very curious to know which is your favorite major EU flag carrier. I put down the names of the ones that bounced in my head but feel free to add an airline if you wish!
I'll Kick off!
My favorite is Lufthansa, as it is clean, reliable, it has a nice fleet and a good route network and timetable.
I am very excited as Lufthansa just launched services from Milan where I live! It's fantastic for me!
The only European airlines I've been on are Austrian, Malev, and MAT. Malev just feels disgusting. MAT is okay but I've heard of many people have had problems with it. I have always had a great experiance with Austrian.
I just have to post a picture. ;)

Sorry,
I meant Czech Airlines
My favorite is Swiss. Even though I've flown with SAS and British Airways too many times to count, my experience with Swiss has always been a good one. Not to mention the awesome looking new First and Business Class cabins and the fantastic lounges at the zurich airport.
Couldn't pick a favourite out of that bunch. Haven't flown on enough of them to give an educated opinion. I can say It would NOT be BA though!

Agreed with you there. I think EVERY single BA flight I've flown has been delayed. Be it ten minutes or three hours. ::)
The sad thing is that I have never flown on a European Airline... :'(
I actually have never been out of Australia, although I fly so many times I won't bother to count
The only one on the list that I know (but haven't flown on) is British Airways and of course Air France..and...KLM and Aeroflot...but KLM and Aeroflot I only know from Air Crash Investigations. (Although, it is pretty sad)
So to rap it up, I don't know which is my favourite European Airline... favourite Australian Airline well it's obvious...
I heard on the news that KLM and Air France merged...

That was a while ago though... right? ;)
Czech Airlines was nice, but way too cramped for me (I'm 2m tall, and about 160kgs; front row on the rugby team). Finnair was my choice. Plenty of room for me, and very good service.

Air France and KLM didn't really "merge" completely....they're still running under seperate names but occasionally Air France-KLM.
I like British Airways, Finnair and Iberia and cuz i can earn
oneworld miles! ;D
Good point. Since I always fly American I end up always flying oneworld airline... I just wish Lufthansa hadn't taken Swiss off the roster. :(

The right business term escapes me, but it's still an official merger. Both brands are kept alive. The company operates as one, but appears as two. The same thing would have happened if BA merged with AA/Qantas/Iberia/KLM/everyone else.... but it's not a merger in the same way that Delta and Northwest is.
EDIT: Think the term is Market-Extension merger ??? Not that makes any sense to anyone!
AY..
Aeroflot... definately..
Not only because I am Russian myself but also for the fact that they used to be the biggest airline in the world and since then, they've come SUCH a long way.
A few pics of their newest addition.. an Airbus A330... I agree it's not Singapore Airlines or Emirates but comparing it to their terrible state of cabin interiors, they are well on the way.

Wow! That's Aeroflot? I'm impressed! 8) They certainly HAVE come a long way.
it is... only problem with that plane is... they use it to top it off their schedules and fly it 3/4th empty from SVO to Pulkovo... which is a bloody waste if you ask me.
I see that I forgot a link..
the SU A330 First class..

i agree. i always thought russian airlines fly old 20+ year old tupolevs ::).
Nah actually the Aeroflot fleet is one of the youngest in Europe. Problem is the daughters, Aeroflot-Nord and Aeroflot-Don, fly the old crap and since they share the name, the bring down the imagine :)

Yeah, their imagine isn't too good, but if they keep moving forward as evident in the pics you provided (at least IMO), their imagine would be pretty good. ;)
Wow. I'm being serious..Aeroflot looks GOOD.
I always thought they were the airline sturggling...because of Air Crash Investigations. I don't mean because of the crash, the narrator said that they struggled to buy 5 new airbus planes or something like that. And that they were struggling with their image and all that. But now...I'm guessing that ain't true.
Don't forgot who still owns 51% of Aeroflot. Yes the image was/is rather bad but if Putin is your main shareholder, you can't go bust :)
