General forum / Conversions?
« Last post by Tuckernut on July 10, 2021, 06:17:59 PM »
I know that I have seen somewhere on here what conversions are available for what aircraft—as in can a 757-200 be converted to a 757PF?  Can someone steer me?  I have looked and looked.

Thanks

The 'last-day' thing can happen as well with any other regular order (if the production rate has slowed from the original pace when you ordered them). The system only does this to deliver everything before the game ends so that nobody can't do any funny business with those undelivered aircraft.

Really do not see any real bug here?  (or what am I missing / can't understand?)

I suppose I'd have to ask someone to drop a post-launch order for the 737 and see if it compresses to the same level.

I guess the main bug here would be that there's a limit on ordering way past the end of the game with new orders for regular orders, and that should probably have a similar limit on the launch orders (though, based on my math, I should have ordered enough to get regular deliveries through the game end).

It's like the old days whne you could get 1000 planes delivered on the last day for lols.

Speed World: Boeing 737 max line.

Ordered 300x 737 Max's during the launch phase. Orders allocated, line compressed, receiving right at 2 per month until the game ends, when I'm due to receive 100+ on the last day of the game.

Generally speaking, I'd expect large aircraft to compress down to a pace of about 3 per month (i.e. 11 day gap per order), but I'm seeing 14 days on this production line.

Erratta as follows:
1. Consider some form of logic to prevent launch phase aircraft from being grossly overordered.
2. Large orders of launch phase ordering appear to receive a higher than normal delivery interval than standard production orders on not-so popular production lines.

Bug reports / Re: Tu-144 vs Concorde wrong speed

I concur with fuel expenses. I did extensive comparisons between A148E & CRJ700LR.
For 500NM flights, the A148 drinks 5% more.
For 1500NM flights,  the A148 drinks 15% more.

This is linear. But beyond 1800NM it' sno more linear, and A148's fuel consuption explodes. The A148E is sold for 2100NM, but its a bad idea to push him beyond 1700/1750NM. But its sad to need months of study to discover this.

Andre is right, that higher quality seating appears to confer no competitive advantage.  The only thing I would add is that with some aircraft types switching to less dense seating can significantly increase range. To judge if this is helpful or not you need to look at the little range graph - if payload declines slowly with range, you can get a useful range stretch by using less dense seating.
