Post by: TrainNutter_OFL on June 08, 2021, 01:00:07 AM
EuroSky Airways is the only operator of the Boeing 747-400ERF with a total of 77 in their fleet. These are due to be phased out over the next 4 years with the introduction of Boeing 777 Freighters.

Due to the range required to replace the 747-400ERF and also to have a high fleet comonality, EuroSly Airways decided to wait until the retirement of the MD-11Fs in order to introduce these aircraft, as well as waiting for the 747-400ERF to be nearing End of Life.

These Boeing 747-400ERFs to be replaced are now approaching their End of service life and so they must go. 27 used Boeing 777 Freighters will be introduced from the Used market and the other 50 have been ordered new from Boeing for $21.6 billion at list prices. These are to be delivered between July 2025 and January 2029
