Announcements - The Speed World / How can you tell them apart?

The look the same, sound the same, and even smell the same...VOLAR USA and the entire alliace are a study in how globalization can irradicate charm and authenticity.  Part of being Green is showing that you are organic and not contrived so if you want to fly with people who genuinely care about individuality, sustainablilty, getting you where you want to go (on time).

On average, our members score higher, arrive on-time, and are more efficient than our competitors.  As Green Managing Partner Cypress Sequoa said "the amount of resources that go into botox treatments, plastic surgery, and makeup that go into being a member of the VOLAR group could save entire civilizations if redeployed."

Off-topic forum / Re: First aircraft you've ever flown on
« Last post by Airlinee on Today at 07:04:53 AM »
My first flight was on a Lufthansa 747-400 (probably) from IAD-FRA in 2002. I was 18 months old, so I don't remember anything.

My last flight as of May 12, 2021 was a 3-legged odyssey from YYC-IAD via YYZ and DTW. We started on a WestJet 737-700 YYC-YYZ, then transitioned to a Delta Connections CRJ-700 for the YYZ-DTW leg and finally got delayed for 3-4 hours to hop on another CRJ to IAD. This was in very early March, 2020, just 2-3 weeks before Ralph Northam declared a State of Emergency for Virginia.

Just out of interest, try changing the registration of aircraft G-BAGP to something else and try again.

Announcements - The Modern Times / McDonald's Douglas MD-80
« Last post by Airlinee on Today at 04:33:39 AM »
Several people have reported the same mysterious dream about an MD-80 that is painted with the colors of McDonald's. It was eerily referred to by all subjects as the "McDonald's Douglas MD-80," and was thought to be a result of the indoctrination caused by multitudinous ads put out by the fast food chain. However, recently, several photos have reportedly surfaced that seem to depict this mysterious aircraft. The photos seem to originate mostly from Europe.

An artist's depiction of the aircraft is shown below, and is still extremely disturbing. VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK  (from planespotters.net)

Well I think it's time to leave the game due to the actions of a certain player. Shame as it was interesting.

Feature requests / Configurable In-Flight Services and Entertainment Systems
« Last post by Airlinee on Yesterday at 09:48:16 PM »
I think it would ad another cool layer of competition if we were to have configurable in-flight services and entertainment systems. It's mostly just a QOL thing, but it could be another factor in determining an airline's score, and thus have an impact on its competitiveness.
