JapanSky Launches Longhaul
« on: March 25, 2023, 01:27:57 AM »
Earlier today, JapanSky has announced they have ordered 7 2nd hand Boeing 777-200ERs in order to operate to long haul destinations in Europe and North America. Initially, they will be operating to London-Heathrow, Frankfurt and Kuwait City from their Osaka-Kansai Base. These aircraft are equipped with 250 Economy seats, 25 lie-flat Business Class and new to the airline, 10 First Class for a total of 285 seats.

The airline plans to order 777-200 (non-ER) to operate out of both Osaka-Itami on domestic routes & Osaka-Kansai on medium-haul international routes. However, these non-ER aircraft will be ordered at a later date and won't be equipped with first class. Rather, 290 Economy seats & 25 Business class for a total of 315 seats

As for the future of this airline, They eventually plan to order Boeing 737-800s to replace the Boeing 737-400s. As for the 737-500s, their future is undecided.
