Kranlinien starts to enroll the Exqui-city service
Kranlinien is contious improving both cabin and ground products in an ever evolving and competitive world. As a modest, yet ambitois airline we want to improve ourselves, create sustainable growth both in quality and quantity.

München, 20. november 1996

Based at München (Munich), Kranlinien (translated Crane(bird) lines) we aim to connect Bayeren (Bavaria) with most parts of Germany and further more, Europe. At this moment, we serve more than 40 destinations. Mainly with our Fokker F100, a reliable piece of Dutch engeneering, yet our Airbusfleet, takes her share, mainly for more crowded and further routes.

In te majority of our aircraft we welcome our customers in a comfortable 2 class lay-out with 4 to 10 seats "in front of the curtain" with a dedicated business class seat. Yet our economy class proves herself as well. The we offered in the sky was good but on the ground, we were not convined of ourselves. We like things getting done efficiently, but realy want to raise our standarts so we could offer an efficient, warm and dedicated service with class.

What will be offered? As from the first of december, we launch "Exqui-city" to better connect München with the airport and our destinations, and improve our services.

1) Munich Connect

There will be three bus services directing you to the city center, in collaboration with Deutsche Bahn, Münich Airport and the City of Munich.

• line M1: Münich Airport - München Hauptbahnhof departing at xxh00 and xxh30. This one hour drive brigns you with stops at the Allianz Arena and the Olympia Park to the Main station
• line M2: Munich Airport - "Messe München" (expo and conference center) departing at xxh10 and xxh40 with stops at the Ostbahnhof (east station), Ostpark and the Messe München
• line M3: Munich Airport - City Center (Karlplatz) Via Tivoli and Hous der Kunst you are brought to the city center in 45 minutes.

All routes take the same stops on the way to the airport, stops are always near or at a busstop, Tramway (Strassebahn), Metro (die U-Bahn) or a railway station. With your valid Kranlinien ticket valid on that day busfare is only 2,5 DEM per person, regardless your booking class.

2) Business as Usual?
We see a steady growth of passenger traffic, since March we bring more than 1000 business class passengers to their desination. For our business travelers we offer a variety of services

From the first of december we offer our Exqui-city, service. Business Class passengers will be helped at a dedicated check-in desk and have an extra service desk for all kind of matters (rebooking, feedback, information, frequent flyer status, and so on).  The "Crane Lounge" for all businessclass passengers (Crane Plus) will open her doors, opening at 4 a.m. and closing when the last flight of the day is calling,  you can relax, have breakfast, lunch or diner or work whilst waiting for your flight. In a classy, mordern envoronment.  Small conference rooms (upto 8 people) will be available but should be booked beforehand.



Next to Crane Plus, we offer "Service Plus" enterprises, (local) gouverments, sport leagues, events and congres centers, ... all kind of organisations whom often need their people to travel around Europe and the world but not in business class seats get their dedicated contact center as well to allow a smooth booking and smooth way trough the airport. te Crane Lounge will be accessible by showing your "service Plus Card".

3) Improved cabin service
Crane Plus and Service Plus Members will enjoy priority lane for security and boarding. On board they can enjoy a welcome drink and hot towel and a large selection of news papers. During every flight a snack or light meal (breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, afternoon tea, diner or evening snack) will be served. Economy passengers will be able to enjoy the inflight drink service and buy on board. Flights longer than 2 hours include a free full inflight service.

We hope to welcome you on board soon, and please, do not hesitate to fill in the small feedbackcards in the seat pockets and hand them to the purser during or at the end of the flight. Every compliment and complaint will help us to grow and understand you even better.

As from mid april, we welcome you on board of our brand new A321-200.
