Aircraft Too Small?
« on: March 12, 2023, 02:58:35 PM »
I have been using Connies since the beginning of the current game.  However, just in the past few (real world) days, I have been getting the following warning when I attempt to schedule long-range flights - which never happened before:

"This aircraft type (Lockheed Constellation) may be too small for this route.

Passengers prefer to fly long routes with larger aircraft types and if you choose this aircraft type to this route you may not be able to attract all of the passenger demand."
[/u]

I suspect that this is now happening because the jet age has dawned.  However, many Connies have better range than many of the currently available jets.

Plus, in this game it seems to me that pax load is not really affected by the type of aircraft (or stop-overs) on a route.  On some routes where I do fly non-stop jets, competitors flyoing props (even with stop-overs) seem to have better loads.

What gives?

Like you guessed, indeed the jets offer better comfort and thus you are starting to see these warnings for early props. It is a gradual decline so nothing to worry just yet.
